melayan shrimps like to hide alot.. even under ss mesh..
but i cannot see even one of them....
i hope that they are not dead yet..
if i not wrong..
they are released from the mother only when the egg hatches right...

for my is about the same, also malayan shrimp gave birth
than cant find them....... but after a few weeks, hahaha
all the babies start to come out and walk around....
that why i think they may really hide in some place you may not see them.... just wait and slowly you will find them....

Its said that malayan shrimps larvae require brackish water in order to survive, although people do mention that their malayan shrimps were able to reproduce in freshwater conditions. Could be the reason why the malayan shrimps in my tank seems to be increasing... although i have not seen any of their larvae before.

Hi,
I don't think Malayan shrimps larvae require blackish water, Yamato & mosquito shrimps larvae do require blackish water.![]()
Bro, be patientEven if they are not shy, they are so tiny, it would take a face-plant onto the tank glass to see them sometimes.
It took me 3-4 weeks to see my Cherry babies. Once in a long long while, I would see 1 floating ard the tank. I was thinking like you, where are the babies? All dead? But now, I start to see them moving around among the crowds. And I do not know, how many more are hiding behind my moss wall.
Just to side-track a little here.... If you find that fishes keep dying behind moss wall, re-adjust the moss wall so that there is a 10-15mm gap between the back of the tank & moss wall, as well as the side of the tank. In that way, nothing can be trapped behind and it doesn't look odd.
