I presume there is a fan? As long as there is some water surface movement, it would ensure disolved oxygen won't get depleted.
Hi guys, my air pump for my shrimp tank just died on me today, its a 1 feet nano tank that is full of moss. Started with 50 cherries but not sure how many are in it as my moss are too thick, many baby shrimps could constantly be seen.
Should i replace the air pump or do you guys think the oxygen content would be sufficient? Currently all the shrimps are doing fine but that could be as the lights are on. Please advice.

Monitor for awhile, if the shrimp start hanging near the surface it means a lack of O2. No harm getting another air pump, for if the fan were suddenly to go as well...
yeah, better monitor for a while. If the number to Shrimps too much might need one
Shrimps are currently doing fine, most are carrying on as per normal. Will monitor and get a new air pump if required. Thanks to everybody for their valuable advice.![]()
