i think is still safer to age the water first...
Thinking of doing straight from tap water change around 20% once every week for CRS tank, followed by anti-chlorine/chloramine dosing into tank. Any one thinks this is safe enough for CRS?
Current tank setup does not have space to store aged water for 3ft tank.
Thanks.

I use a standard size red color pail to collect water from tap before adding Seachem Prime.
Do some stirring before introducing to tank.

i do the same as kensk, so far no casualty. always pays to be cautious when handling such fragile shrimps![]()
some bros here observe no problem when topping up straight from the tap even for their CRS. Guess i'll have to try it out and see for myself. Long term, i need to be able to do water change conveniently enough to do it regularly for my 3 footer.

doesn't direct tap water contains chlorine and it would kill all the bacteria in the tank?

fish: discus/endlers
new addition::: CRS advanture
dose antichlorine straight away as i do water change.

Hmmm so far i use straight from tap water my crs so far so good but everytime only change 10% to 20% of the water more den that i not so sure![]()
What is the size of your CRS tank siansian? And what grade is the CRS?
Any dosing of anti-chlorine after straight tap water change?

Then my 3ft should be fine then
At the moment, testing out the water of the new tank setup with cherries. Going to add CRS later.

Hmmm you use cherry shrimp this shrimp is very hardly if i will you i go for tiger or bee to test the water![]()

Method of using can be a or b? just like i said there no right or wrong
A)using age water better will not stress the shrimp (Mostly most of you using this method)
B)use straight from the tap(lazy people like me so far my area the water is ok but again i do hear some of the area the water not so good just like bro zeloc87 said so do take note thank)![]()
