    Hey guys..

    i bought about 6 of these guys about 10 days ago at seaview...
    finally took pictures of the dominant one today.. they seem to school pretty well.
    The question is...anyone knows what Characin this is????
    I am damn befumbled...haha..if that is a word anyway..haha..



    I have more pics but it was hell to colour blance them.. this one isn't exactly well balanced but was excited to post.. so yea..
    Anyone knows??

    After taking this photo.. i think i want to go down and buy more of them.. i really like this fish!! Check out that tail, the red highlights on most of its fins and those greenish highlights on the gillplates!! ROCKS!! i'll make space for this anyday!!

    No lar. It is different for sure.
    The position of the red and black is different in the two fishes. Also the eye colouration is different.

    Ok, then can someone tell me why the rubies from Biotope got no red colour at all?

    They are under stress and need time to acclimitise. It may take weeks for them to get comfortable and show good red coloration.

    So retook a photo of them after they have coloured in a bit and been fed a bit more for people who like fat fishes..kekeke..

    Glowlight tetra is Hemigrammus erythrozonus. Well, these are not.

    Ruby tetra --> Axelordia Riesei?

    ive got a dozen of this guys...very beautiful coloration under softwater condition.

    For A. riesei...the colouration is usually darker red in colour..also there are different patterns and also size differences.. don't even need to talk about veination of fins... this guy is about 3-4cm large.
