Finally my effort has been paid off.

    Congrats my friend.

Had the same feeling when i saw my first baby shrimp. But then, other forumers are so successful in breeding crs.

That is why the price of crs has come off so much.

    Enjoy the thrill.

    Hi caRoland

Congrats on your shrimplets! You must be very lucky cos I read in some forums that CRS needs at low temperature of at least 25-26 degrees to breed. Otherwise, the females will die. Any experienced bredders care to comment on this?

    Thanks.

i'm just a amauter crs keeper and from what i have seen in my tank, crs won't died at high temperature which is 29 or 30 unless the water quality is terrible.. when this occurs, they tend to stay somewhere near the water level.. high temperature won't really kill them but they have the tendency of having massive colour run which mean the white portion will slowly run off.. i do have baby crs at 27 -28 degree in the past and i can say when it grows up, the results is not so fanatistic.. to me, the best temperature to promote them breeding is at 25 - 26 degree.. i not really sure about others crs lover but i do know that crs is in favor of cooler water.. anything above 28 degree tend to have colour run..
