Like many CRS hobbists, I think something you have to bear with. I don't think you ever want to use a surface shimmer and get your CRSes sucked into the filter? Don't worry, so far non of my CRS died.

Is there any way to get rid of it? coz it would stain the water surface edge of my tank which make it look ugly.
Its a layer of protien.
You can't scoop that up. If you want to get rid of that protein layer, what you will need to invest in a surface skimmer.
Search for "oil on surface".

you can cover the stains by stickers, 2" or so and have your water level slightly higher?

As I mentioned earlier, do a search for "oil on surface". There are many posts on this and many solutions as well.
Good luck.

Mollies are known to eat this surface "oil". However i'm afraid the mollies will also take your CRS as snacks.

I cover the inlet of the surface skimmer with gauze. The type that is used to cover riccia on rocks, drift wood, etc.
Before I did this, my shrimps "went" into the cannister filer. I actually found something like 7 or 8 of them there. Only 1 died fortunately. I don't have this problem anymore since covering the inlet.
