A sandstone hill called 'Kelambu Lang'

The expedition to the summit of this sandstone hill called 'Kelambu Lang' (around 900 feet) is unsuccessful as the jungle is too dense. I'll be back there next time.


The sandstone hill 'Kelambu Lang' is located near the coastal area of southern Sarawak:

A species of lithophyte orchid growing on the rock near the jungle stream.

First time found the Vanilla orchid (Vanilla havilandii) !!! Vanilla orchid is the only orchid used for industrial purposes (in the food & cosmetic industry). The seed pod is used to create vanilla flavoring.





Vanilla havilandii is a climbing plant.

At 2pm, we left Kelambu Lang & went to the nearby Gunong Lasak to find Silvered Langur (Presbytis cristata). Unfortunately, we couldn't find anything.
