I feed mine once a day when I return from work, usually around 17:30. But if I have fry I try my best to feed them before I leave for work too.
Just wondering,
How many times a day do you feed your fishes? Need some feedback on this as I'm thinking of changing the diet regime for my fauna.

Ah I see. I'm a little worried about water quality if I should feed twice. My discus rejects any form of pellet food, even trying to acclimatize them to take pellet food ended up with 2 deaths and a concaved stomach.
They only eat frozen blood worms.![]()

I try to feed once in the morning and once in the evening. On weekends I break into smaller portions and feed around 3 times a time. Normally the fishes feed throughout the day.

once a day for as much as the fish can eat in 5 mins, 6 days a week.
On weekdays, it is once a day at 2000hrs (after work) and weekends, up to four times (in smaller portion) a day cos I have more time to feed them and enjoy seeing them gobbling up the food.

how many times a day?? my fish don't qualify for that..because sometimes i only feed 3 times a week or so...maybe 5 at most.
For discus-wise, you gotta starve them a few days before they'll start eating pellet food.. Mine are eating Tetra Bits..
Depending on the size of your discus, if mixed with other smaller fish and shrimps, the discus will attack if they are hungry..
I feed sparingly for two times per day.. Once in the morning and once at night because I have kuhli loaches in my tank, which are night feeders...
i feed twice a day, before i go work and back from work. feed more at night
I do it once a day if I did not forget...![]()

i converted from 2 times a day to 2 day a time. the fishes looks more active in the tank now.
2 times a day usually. Or once a day for low-tech tanks.

discus usually require small feedings more times a day...rather different from other fish.
some discus can be dreadfully stubborn about acclimitizing to new food...for example i had some that refused to eat beefheart even after 5 days of starving them, they only would eat frozen bloodworms. after many months of trying to starve then feed the new food, i decided to trick them instead. i defrosted my bloodworms, mixed a small amount of beefheart in and refroze them. next meal i fed in the mixture and the discus attacked it as usual. the next day (only after 1 "trick" feeding), i fed them beefheart and not bloodworms, and they ate it...you might want to try it =)
my latest batch of beefheart selfmixed i put tetrabits in to make it more nutritious...now when i feed tetrabits to my smaller fishes in the planted discus tank, the discus fight with my tetras for the bits.
No specific regime. sometimes 1-2-3-4 times a day when i am at home, sometimes 3 times a week when i am busy. Fishes do well since they are in a planted tank and they feed on the moss I guess. I never had death from starvation, that would be sad! All my fishes are fat!
I guess most fishes are quite flexible. When you feed them, take time to observe them eat to see if there are some with any sign of disease or loss of appetite!
I usually feed a variety from frozen bloodworms, dried pellets, live brine shrimps.
It took me about a week to change from frozen bloodworm to tetra bits.
another vote for not feeding a set regiment sometimes my fish will go three or four days Fish don't have dinner bells at noon and 6 some times there lucky if they get a meal for weeks. on average they may get fed 3 days in a row then may not eat for three days. well other then the ocational bug that gets lured to the water fall and mosses and ends up in the tank.
I have to feed mine daily. Otherwise, I'll see fishes with fin bitten off. Fierce bunch of Tetra.
Cheers,

Tanks without discus, 1 to 2 times a day.
Planted tank with discus, 2 to 3 times a day.
Bare tank with discus, 2 to 6 times a day and 50% water change every other day.
