One of the suggestion to solve your woes. Do not remove the big o-ring that secure the filter head to the canister body. Instead use lube it with "VASELINE 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly". Everytime it leak, I rotate the big O-ring 90 degree or clockwise from 12 - 3 because the corner ring is hardened so by shifting it. It works again. Also, do not let the old filters get pressurized by rotory failure. It happened to me and flooded my kitchen.
