How many fishes can I keep in a 3.5ft tank?

How many fishes can I keep for a 100 by 30cm tank? Currently targetting cardinals and cherries. wat What else fits?

It is an iwagumi themed tank.

Are you new to fishkeeping? To have a better chance of successful fishkeeping, a lot of reading is needed.

However, these are just mere guidelines, so it can be variable. Generally, we encourage the mantra that less is more.

I would probably suggest around 30 cardinal tetras and maybe 10 other slim bodied fishes (rasboras or other tetras).

What are cherries? Barbs? Shrimps?

For an iwagumi scape, it would be good to keep the number of fish species to a minimum so that it doesn't mess up the scape.

P.S. Please also kindly avoid the SMS lingos as these are not encouraged and may not be understood by all members. Shrimps are potential food for a lot of fish that can fit them in their mouths. Milage may vary though, but do be aware of the risks.

Do a search in the forum and you will see why they aren't a good mix.
