    Hi all

    I noticed that most of the fan I come across are quite noisy. Have anyone come across one that is comparable quieter? Pls let me know the brand?

    Perhaps you want to share with everyone what you've tried so that it's easier to proceed with the discussion. Different people has different tolerance level of noise

    DC fans are generally quieter than AC ones. And I would assume the bigger the fan, the noisier it is too. My DC fans are pretty quiet, but cannot recall the brand off my head.

    hi,

    the size of the fan dun really justify the fan,
    if you looking for a quiet fan.
    looks for those 0.1, 0.12, 0.13,0.15a fan....
    i got 2 running at 0.28A, very noisy, but very windy

    I have tried one Jebo fan that has a noise level of 35dB. Its output is DC12V. I did not have the data for the rest of the models that I come across in lfs.

    I find that the Sunon AC fan (sold in a white styrofoam box) pretty quiet for me. Very windy too.

    look for lower current rated fans, as besh has suggested.
    higher current rated fans are noisier but they have higher flowrate. so it is a compromise.
