How much does a 3 ft custom made tank cost?

Nobody can give if a proper answer if you ask questions without giving any more details. When you give enough details, you will get better answers.

In any case, considerations will be as follows:

1. Type of glass (regular, asahi float, starphire, etc)
2. Thickness of glass
3. Type of bracing
4. Piping/filtration holes (if any)
5. Type of silicon (German type?)
6. Actual size (3 ft is only the length. What about the other dimensions?)

2. Thickness of glass - the regular for a 3 ft....

6. Actual size (3 ft is only the length. What about the other dimensions?)

not true. you must also take into consideration the type of fauna that you are having and the depth of the tank. Take for example a tank of 3 ft with 3 ft depth and 2 ft width would need a tank of glass of minimum thickiness 10mm? As the depth gets deper, the pressure of the water acting on the glass both on the base and the sides increase. Hence i would beleive that it is always better to overkill on the thickness part. That's what i know. I believe the rest of the brothers would have better answers for your question. cheers!!

I do not know how much it will cost to custom make.
But I know this, 1 ft height is not a regular height for 3 ft tanks.

If you do not mind getting a tank that is slightly taller, you probably do not need it to be custom made and can instead, get those ready made ones from some LFS, I know Serangoon North has a few LFS that sells 3 ft tanks, Clementi also has, Pasir Ris fish farm OTF should have also. Check the list of LFS in the 'sticky' in one of the folders here in AQ and make some calls if you're serious about buying.

bossteck.... i asked the NA uncle already.... the price he said for custom 3 ft seems to be cheaper than the ready 3ft @ places like otf farm....
