Very nice and spunky male that flares non-stop at his own reflection. Still a juvenile and lots of potential.![]()

really nice collection you have there![]()
Is it also known as 5 band? I think this species can have very punk dorsal tip.

God will make a way, where there seems to be no way
Colouring up nicely despite their young age.
When the fish first arrived, there wasn't any colouration at all.
The colouration is starting on the finnage.
I have seen someone else A. sp. "Breitbinden", is it true the tail will have colouration too?

Hey Nicholas Very nice breitbinden you got there. Where you got this beauty from ?
Yes, the caudal fin will fork out at both end and have yellow and bluish coloration on it...that's what I saw on my previous A. sp. "Breitbinden"

first is brazilian 2nd columbian =)
Hi all, I am confused.
I thought the 1st picture is the male and the 2nd and 3rd are the pictures of the female. Right Nicholas?
The male looks young.. when matured, the dorsal will reach sky high.. hehe.. And I see strands of yellow on the lower half of the caudal.
The female's blood throat is fantastic.. drool.
It's NOT "Chee lick", NOT "Chee Chee Licks"!!! Cichlids is pronounced as "Sick Lids"!!!!!
Thanks Yorky for your kind comment.
I think you are confused because of the brazilian and columbian. There is refering to the picture in the link that joopsg wrote in the earlier thread.
The male is much bigger size then the female. I fall in love with the female when it just came. Her's blood throat was very obvious compare to the male.
I will try to post a picture of them taken a month ago. The transformation is good. It is so wonderful to rear a young apisto and see it slowly changes as it grows older.
