    Ruisheng,

Good food and water parameters helps the growth of the apisto. This pair is still young.

    CK Yeo,

This pair is still young. The transformation is still not complete. The dorsal is slowly showing more red.

    Gene,

I totally agree with you. One will find joy when you rear a young apisto pair into full adulthood. One will be able to slowly see and appreicate the beauty of the transformation from an 'ugly' duckling to a swan.

Just to share, I've feeding my apistos with spirulina and recently experienced some new redness never seen before eg. Diplo with small red cheeks. Will post some pictures later.

Wow wilson. Your Ap. Diplo is a vegetarian!

Its good news for other apisto keepers. Perhaps an alternative food source.

Humm...seems like it not much of good food and conditioning of the fishes...I think the major difference is the photography skill and setup of the fishes...I think the first few picture are poorly taken...

Point noted Milk. Your advice will be seriously taken in.

Setup is indeed important. The picture isn't that badly taken right.

Just want to let others see the difference in the apisto within a month.

I believe their full potential is yet to come.

    Hi Joseph,

Thanks for the kind compliment. The fish hasn't reach the yet potential yet. Will try to get a dear friend to take picture of it in 1 or 2 months time. (Pending on his availability)

My collection is nothing compare when you were in the 'peak' of the hobby. You had alot more hidden treasures. Must seek advice from senior like you.

This is not the final product as the fish is still a young adult. It is still growing..

Damn exciting right when they spawn for you. Now you will have to deal with the worries of maximising the survival rate and feeding of your fries...

I see at least 10 to 20 fries free swimming. Just netted the male, cories and otos out.

Any pointers to raise the fries?

PS : When you free to come take picture of the fries

    Hi Wacky,
Congrats. You must be over the moon!
Care to share the water condition ?
I recall that A. sp "breitbinden" does require low PH in the range of low 5.

It's NOT "Chee lick", NOT "Chee Chee Licks"!!! Cichlids is pronounced as "Sick Lids"!!!!!
