This did not happen with my other soil I got before going with ADA soil, but ADA amazonia seems to be mud-like after wet, and I didnt expect that...

I replaced 50% of the water and run the filter, still yellowish, will this eventually go away? Or should I just re-do the soil and tank and fill water carefully? The tanks already planted and water still murky. This is the 3rd day now btw.

Also, would I need a heater for my nano tank with tropical fish? I did a search on the forum and didn't find any conclusive answers.

    Thanks for any help,
    H

Maybe when you top up the water you disturb too much of the ADA soil.
If i were you, i would turn off the pump and let the cloudiness settle first.
If it is really very cloud, do a 50% water change n this time round, use a plastic bag to fill the water in order not to let direct pouring of water disturb the soil.
Hope that this is helpful to you as this is what the LFS uncle told me when i am doing my first planted tank.

Amazonia does cloud the water when you first introduce it to water. But it isn't as bad as lapis when you didn't wash it thoroughly. Do a couple of water change in the meantime. It should clear up soon.

Normal for ADA, it will go away, just turn on the filter. Use fine filter wool, it will help. Some people wait until a week before it clear up. Water change will help but be carefull when you top-up the water. You can use sheet of plastic and pour the water on top of the plastic. You can also use small hose, the one use for CO2, it slow though.

Thanks guys. I changed the water, and carefully added water back. I turned off the filtration (will turn it on again probably tonight), added liquid CO2 and fertilizer. Water is clear now and plants looks 'happier'
