    Hi All,

This is my humble 4ft. It is low tech. Pardon the background; planning to change to black oyama.

    Comments are welcome.

    Question:
Please help to ID the plant near the rock on the right side and the long long plant swaying towards the left side of the tank...

and this... DSC00099.JPG ... doesn't seems to be growing?

Also, my hornwort seems to be becoming thiner at the mid-section, why is that so?

    Looks nice!

The long long plant is Aponogeton ulvaceus. The plant in the second picture looks like E.tenellus. You have base fert?

Hi richietay, I just put in root monster and JBL fertilizer ball around the plants...

Found that the stem near the "bud" of the Aponogeton ulvaceus has broken off and now it has became hair-like... what should I do??

As for the 2nd picture, if they are E. tenellus, how to make them propagate? They have been like this since I bought them around 2 months ago - not grow nor dying...

Those aren't E. tenellus! Well, certain plants require Co2 input for them to grow or you could just wait. Plants in tanks without Co2 input take a longer time to propagate. I think the plants in the 2nd picture are sagitaria

lol.. heres a hint.. try looking up the name Lilaeopsis..might be L. brasiliensis..might be another variety.. but these take a slow start then when they propagate.. they REALLY propagate..

If I'm not mistaken it a Lilaeopsis brasiliensis AKA Brazilian Micro Sword,

Yah.. i used to have an enitre lawn of it in my 3 fter.. it grew so fast i started yanking rows upon rows of it out weekly.
Try trimming it... like cut every single leaf to about 2-3cm tall.

Take out your back drop cover and get a new black oyama paper. This time add soapy water to the back and paste the paper on the glass tank with a long ruler. Lastly, move your taller plants together to the back corner.

Hi Kietgnoel, thanks! The tank was initially set up in feb. It was my first time doing planted tank and there was only nana then. The rest of the plants were introduced few at a time as I am still at trial and error stage.... The scape in the picture was done on the last holiday... I think is 26th May...

Hi Jungle-mania, I plan to do some improvement to the tank on 26th June and will keep your suggestion in mind... thanks!
