I split this request out as a separate thread for you...

    You might regret wanting them...

You just need 1 fertilized snail and soon you will have a tankful of them...
    Read me! http://justikanz.blogspot.com/

    I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...

Don't get it. Unless you want a snail tank. Had some introduced into my2ft tank and had a hard time removing it. My record is 300 over snails caught over a 4 days period and it is not cleared much. Still seeing them on all over the place a few hours after lights off.

Ermmm.... your tank will be INFESTED with them once you get just ONE...
be careful what you're asking for...

I have a similar version to the "PEST" but only have a couple of them... not as highly reproductive I think... its slightly larger and does burrow... lenght of shell about 3/4 inch... not sure the exact name of the snail though...

Don't think they sell it in LFS though...

In my experience this snails proliferates on leftover food. The more leftover food there is the more snails you get. Very rarely does this snail attack plants or eat algae in my experience. To control this snail its best to control your feeding.

Also there are some fishkeepers who believe that these snails have the same function as earthworms as they dig through the substrate. They help to prevent dead spots and loosen the substrate at the same time.

To control this snail, loaches would be the best option. The khuli loach would even dig into the substrate. However loaches are not safe with small fishes or shrimps.

I think this will give a skewed impression to readers. I would change it to this though.

Loaches can be kept with small fishes. However, loaches (just like a lot of other fishes) are not safe with fries or shrimps.

Oops. Sorry. I mean very small fishes. Also mostly refering to the khuli loach, not all loaches.
