actually boiling or soaking in hot water helps remove the stain faster.. it depends, soak till the water is clear.. as for the tying of moss, u can use cotton thread or fishing line... the thread can be remove (if u like) after the moss attaches itself on the wood
i heard a net is required to tie them down ?
Resistance is futile, you will be administrated!
A net is not absolutely necessary, thread will do fine for Java Moss.

thanks for the help , i'll try after my wood is ready
to get a more natural/"grow there by chance" look, you can remove the moss when some "bits" of it has attached to the wood.
