Macross Zero Anime?

Hi guys! any of you are into ANIME? I know I'm! anyhow I'm looking for MACROSS ZERO DVD, does anyone knows where to look for ANIME DVDs in Singapore?

The bird human thingy attaches itself and commence armageddon, then they fire ballistic rockets at which they fail miserably, the hot hippie indian mayan chief then stops the birdie and they fly away... somewhere.

The series is worth watching for the dogfight sequences and is short so it's not draggy like gundam. I watched it on those free video hosting sites

I used to have it as a little boy the first original toy when the macross cartoon first appeared.
And my mum threw them away.

Probably not release yet. Unless you want to get the one from Hong Kong, though it probably pirated.

Released already if I'm not wrong. The dogfight part is fantastic. Kind of realistic in certain area. Yukikaze is another flight anime but the dogfight scene cannot be compared to Zero.

It's totally different from the original macross. . . what has it got to do with Zentradi and the other aliens in the original series? I've watched the first 4 episodes by the way.

It's got nothing to do with the original macross, this story is suppose to happen before it.The VFs in Zero are the first generation transformables. Note: The squadron leader is Roy Focker who dies in the original series.

The artillery mech fire a few round at the alien. It's very rare that the artillery mech have been shown during military operation. In my opinion, this artillery mech is portrayed as real as it gets, slowly walking to position, hunking down to it's firing position and actually firing all 3 turret. The 3 shell ejected from the artillery mech was realistic.

Just to add my few cents worth....

From what I know of the Macross Universe. Bryan was right in pointing out that Macross Zero is the "pre-story" before the original (Post #15). Its set in the phase where there was war between 2 factions on earth, each with their own VF design. The Macross zero story would have occured during the time between the CRASH of the Super-Dimension Fortress onto earth and the INVASION of the Zentraedi.

These other aliens in Macross0 are suspected to be part of the original Proto-culture. Meaning, they might have come from the same source as the Super-D Fortress (Zentraedi also from this source). Humans obtained VF technology from their exploration of the Super-D Fortress. Hence they are searching for more possible alien tech (as seen in this series) to gain an advantage over each other (arms-race).

The animation in this series is beautiful. I downloaded the series from NarutoFan.com at a price. Though the storyline occurs before the original story, the Verifighters are MUCH nicer. All you need to do is to compare the Yamato model versions of the VF-1 fighters with the VF-0 series.

Go and watch it! No regrets. You'll look at the models differently after watching ZERO. It's great!
