Is there such an equipment that adjusts/reduce the intensity of aquarium lighting? I always thought there is only switch on and off buttons. Is there such thing as dimmers?

Thinking DIY as my wall mount tank is using .... erm... do you believe it or not.... those fluoresant lamps meant for study desks.

But due to space constraints, I think I will not consider using a ballast. Thanks for the advices though.

I have thought using dimable ballest with light computer to cnotrol the different intensity of lights over a day.

But it sseems that I have no idea how I should go about it. Getting these items in Sg seems hard for me, not to talk about the pricing.

Anyone shares the same thoughts? Maybe we could do a joint project

a cruder but simpler way would be using multiple timers. you may need to rewire the individual light tubes to individual timers.

I second Tawauboy suggestion. Use digital timer instead of analogue for precise timing activation.
