    Hi! I'm currently using eheim 1260 external pump to power the NA external co2 reactor. The hose inlet is covered by a sponge filter.

    sponge filter --> eheim 1260 ---> NA CO2 reactor ---> rainbar

    Problem with this setup is that the sponge filter clog up pretty fast and once clogged up, the flow slows and resulting in building up of the co2 inside the reactor. thus i need to clear the filter almost monthly....

    I have been thinking of replacing this setup with an external cannister filter

    inlet hose --> external cannister filter --> NA CO2 reactor --> rainbar

    Can anyone comment on this setup?
    I am actually getting pretty good distribution with the power from eheim 1260 pump powering the the setup... and according to the website, eheim 1260 is rated at 2400L/hr. So will that mean to enjoy the same distribution flow, i will need to get a similarly rated external cannister filter? or I can get away with just a pro2 2028?

    For ur info, my tank is 6x2x2 already powered by 2X 2028

    Thanks!

    I'm thinking of trying the Eheim Pro 3e... will this be overkill?
    I mean a 6x2x2 tank running 2X2028 and 1Xpro3e.......
    thanks!

    for pro 3e, 2078, it's rated at 1850L/hr.... so its less than the 1260 pump
