Right now I am in Brisbane and I am helping my friend fix his tank up. Does anyone know of any good LFS here I can go to? There is alot of LFS that seem to have come from the 80s here compared to back in Singapore.

Haha...you are quite right there. LFS there are quite in the oldies and they do not stock much on ADA stuff and they are not into planted tanks as well. Most of them sell basic stuffs for a normal aquarium and that's about it.

Having said that, where in Brissy are you at? North side? South side? I used to go to this place at the South side near Garden City @ Mt Gravatt. The shop is called Pet City http://www.petcity.net.au/ I got most of my stuff there. I think (if i am not wrong) tht place has the biggest selection of aquarium stuffs that you need. Have a go at it, if not you can always tryhttp://www.yellowpages.com.au

    Hope it helps.

    Cheers.

Thanks, my sentiments, I was actually going to head down there later in the day after I saw they won the best pet shop from Sea Chem website.

Finally set up his tank, pretty tricky to find out what species is good to keep. 2 shops to go here is pet city and pet country, you can find out more of them on the internet. Interesting thing I saw L46 and emperor cudgeons! The L46 were going for 8XX a piece! and someone bought the last pair together! Otos are really expensive at more than 10 bucks a piece, because the DOA is high, no guessing why given the climate. Finally settled with white cloud minnnows for his fauna based on a hunch that they were found in a cold area. Guess what, their colours showed strongly at 20 degrees! Word of advice, be prepared to pay more here, but you can still find discounts here and there, much so that they be about the same price as Singapore or less. Try Big W for your basic stuff and forget using CO2 cylinders here, you have only seachem excel to work with.
