I am keen to try them since their size remain smaller than SAE, as I read. Moreover my SAE don't seem to be eating BBA this time round.
Er... where is Ben's shop? Is it in the LFS list?

Anyone here bought the so called "American Flag Fish" ?

Bought 10 pcs, (thanks again Sherwin ).
Now that the fishes have stabled, with colours all out, they are beginning to look more like cichlids, very much like Jewels cichlid !
They have been very nasty to my malayan shrimps, forcing quite a few to jump out of the tank, & consumming a few.
2 of my blue emperor also lost their tail fins. : (

Anyone here got similar experence ?

BTW, have not seen them eating any algea yet.

the AFF or FFF (florida flag fish as some {ok, one} guys like to call it) is supposed to be quite a bastard fish (from APD)

they are quite fierce. i had to fish mine out 1 day after adding to my tank, because it wouldn't leave my neons and rummynoses alone if they were near it. i think your tank needs to be quite spacious if you don't wan your ff to disturb the other smaller fishes.
