slightly more nutritious than bbs and very Very VERY much less troublesome

they're decapsulated brine shrimp eggs...basically they're brine shrimp eggs that have had their shells removed, so the unhatched baby brine shrimp are exposed in dried and preserved form. they're slightly more nutritious than bbs as they have the full yolk sac still intact instead of it being slightly depleted by the bbs after they hatch.

in terms of convenience, all you do is soak them awhile in water then pour into your tank...like instant noodles for your fries like that

Interesting, don't even know something like that. The bride shrimps eggs is so small, how to remove just the shell?

if i'm not mistaken, it's removed chemically...the eggs are dipped in a solution and removed after a certain period of time, and the shells are gone. they're a tried and tested bbs replacement used on discus fries for a very long time. some of us on the forums bought a batch to try on apistos very recently and i dunno about the others, but my fish devour them greedily =)

Using bleach? using vinegar to neutralise bleach? and it still can hatch after soak in bleach. I always tought that bleach kill anything.

hmm.. even if it is washed.. wouldnt there be trace amount of bleach on teh eggs?

this small amount might lead to bleach poisoning on the fishes who consume the BBS over time

i'm not sure but this thought come to mind.. what you guys think..
