    Hi folks,

Like to ask about Arctica latest Mini or Nano chillers. These are 1/15hp and 1/20hp models.

    1. Where selling?
    2. Any idea how much expected to pay?
    3. what's the footprint (dimension in cm)?

BTW, how many litres is 1 US gallon?

    Thanks

    1) EcoCulture, Aquamarin @ Jalan Kayu, Reef Depot (need to order)
    2) For 1/15, it is the upper bound of 700 and 1/20, upper bound of 600.
    3) Check this out: http://www.jbjlighting.com/prod_nanomini_chiller.html

    1 US Gallon = 3.78 litres

If I am not wrong Aquamarin having some sort of promotion on the Artica chillers at the moment. Ends on 30th June.

wow, din know Artica comes with such nano/mini chillers!

Now that my bonus is in....itchy hand to replace my CL280 hahaha!

Wonder which of the mini/nano is suitable for my 2x1x1 tank?
Anyone care to advise? It's because CL280 is running fine for my tank and it is 1/10HP whereas the Articas are 1/15 and 1/20....... kinda mismatch....

I have the notion that Taiwan brand tends to overstate their equipments capacity. It's like comparing Eheim with Taiwan brand cannister filter, they might list the same flowrate. But in actual fact, Eheim will give stronger flow.

As for the new Artica nano chiller, I would choose 1/15HP for a 2x1x1.

    Hi Folks,

Just rang up N.A. Priced at 1/15 is $790 and 1/20 is $720.

Izit good price? Also I think come standard with 2 yrs warranty and 2 free house visit servicing.

I planing to see if I can get my Teco micro repaired. If cost is high then may as well buy the Artica.

Now adays these chiller are getting affordable. Gone are days I paid $$$ for chiller, hmm....

What the comment from fellow folks using Artica chiller? Noise? efficiency? servicing? controls accuracy?

Hey bro, care to share your experience with CL280? efficiency, electri bills, audible ops sound? Used to have bad impression with this....wonder if I should change my perception.

    You know what..
The Resun cl280 even though it is 1/10 is not the same as an artica 1/10.
People like to say that resun 420 cannot run 4ft tank.. but there are people using artica 1/10 to run a regular sized 4 footer....

Why? one of the reasons is probably because the 1/10 on the artica is 75watts... and the cl280 is 280watts...the Resun 450 is.. yes.. 450watts..
so it really doesn't matter if my artica takes longer to chill my tank.. when compared agains the cl280.. it can take up to 4 times longer and the bill will still be the same. For the Resun450... i think don't need to compare liao..

I was skivving in the office again when I found this.

The boss of Aquastar was mentioning he was bringing in some nano chillers after it was shown at Aquarama.

I just found out that the Artica wattage is in fact in the region of 220W and not 75W. Seems like 75W is based on 110V shown in the brocheres and pdf files.

But still, it seems to be one of the most power efficient chillers in the market.

Very true ranma...i went to my friend house and see his 4 footer marine tank running on 1/10 artica...oh mine at first i thought it is grossly underpower...but to my surprise, it chills well and the chiller itself is very quiet and not HOT at all...we actually squat beside the chiller sometimes to observe...wow..seriously a good peice of machine to own.
