    Hi all,

I just setup my planted tank about 1 month ago. I do not do any water change but just top up water everyday. I have shrimps and small fishes in the tank.

    Is it good enough?

It depends. Do you dose any fertilizer? How many watts is your light?
You can do low tech tank where no water change, no filter, no fert dosing and low light.

Standard 1ft (30x15x18cm) is about 2 gallons and 18 Watt light. You put too much light. Without fert and CO2, you are inviting algae to grow.

    Hi Kelvin,

Do you have any CO2 injection?

Cut down on the timing of the lighting. If possible stagger the duration of the light.

My CO2 input is slightly less than 1bps. Yesterday, I increased to exactly 1bps and my CRT died. Sad...

Bro, if you want your shrimp or fish to grow fast and well.. regular water change helps... one of the lfs shop owner told me that a cardinal can grow up to 3 cm in size within a month with 20% water change twice every week...

    Thats magic..
