    Hi All,

I`m El-nemo and have been thinking of getting back into the hobby of Aquascaping! I first tried it only in 1998, which only had PL lights and base fertilizers. From what I`ve been reading there is ADA soil and T5/T8 lights!

So thought i join in to learn more about all things new in the hobby!
Before i startup my 2ft tank! This time round wanted to setup my old Eheim filter (2224) a Presurised Co2 and 36W PL light with ADA soil that i`ve been hearing so much about. Forground plant will be ricca and back will be Japanese bush (forgot name). Fish would be neon tetra or cardinal tetra!

Anyway, wanted to give a big "Hello!!" to all Eastside people!
How many of you guys are there? Have seen much post by eastsiders..
Do drop a "Hello" so we all can recognize one another!

By the way, it took me a real bit of time to find AQ. I usually can`t find it if I`m not on my own com. cause i got it on my shortcut keys. But i think its a splenderd site!
    Just wanted you to know...

    Cheers

    hello El-nemo,

the name is momojay. neighbour to you.... , i am from the north-east.

going through the same process as you, only that, i pick up the hobby, after leaving my tank emptied for 2 years, due to my daughter don't want to come home, as she claims that she shas to stay in her grandma house to take care of her grandma's fish tank (its my mum who i inherit the hobby ).

i have pour in the gravel, put in lava rock and air stone. now circulating the tank with bacteria and anti-chlorine solution for my 2.5ft (155l) tank.

intend to put in some plant first and definitely cardinal tetra will be the permanet tenant...

do keep in touch and share our experience about the seniors and newbies.

    thanks and regards.

well, although i hv been keeping fishes as hobby since childhood, but i have never been studying too much in depth.

my worst experience was bought 8 ranchu (cost S$30 ~ S$80 each) and all report to heaven overnight after put into tank. really broke my heart (not the money) but i really like those fishes.

    anyway, still learning for me.
