Hi, anyone know the best place to release 2 small fish? These fish has been with me for years. Would hope they lead a peaceful life there after.

I know some nature lovers will be against introducing new species to the current ecological environment, but these are well, quite local species by now and they are small. Just a silver tip tetra and a corydoras.

Why don't you offer them FOC to other hobbyists in the marketplace folder?

It looks much darker then this. There could be two. The larger one is about 2" to 3". Eats anything.

The silver tip tetra is hardy and territorial.

I have killed many oriental fish in the past, would like to see them swim in the wild at least.

Pass them to some aquarists or to a fish shop. Do NOT release them to our rivers... Not only do they not belong here, they most likely not be able to survive...

I'm afraid I still don't know which cory you are talking about. There are a lot of corys that are darker than the one you in you picture.

    Hi,

Where you stay? If convenient, I don't mind adopting your fishes.

    Unhappy North East

I'm in the north east AMK area. There are two cories. One is almost 4 inches from whisker to tail.

My friend tells me of a nice longkang that leads to a stream along YCK road. Pass by before nice and shallow, sandy bottom, clear water.

    feeblemind,

Please don't release it into our environment. It's a very irresponsible thing to do.

We have more than enough members here that will give it a good home if you are willing to pass it over to them. I'm sure they will go over to your house of collect the fishes at your convenience. In the unlikely event that you cannot find any members here willing to take them in, I will personally give them a home in one of my many tanks. Just drop me a Private Message on where and when to collect with your contact number.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Hmm ... seems like people are throwing their corys left and right. Feeblemind, tell you what, PM me your location and contact number and I'll go have a look see. Most probably I can put it in one of my discus tank as cleanup crew but I'll need to quarantine it first.

Na. Don't worry. Had I really wanted to release them in the wild, I wouldn't even bother posting . I will contact Mr Benny (thanks!).

    Re: Fish release

Sorry, in the end we continued to care for this pair. For closure, just wanted to update that they past away on 25th Nov 2009. Sadly missed, has been with us for 5 years.

Apologies for worrying fellow nature fans. Cheers!
