    Hi guys!

Here you go! My first attempt on a 2 feet tank. I am using the ADA Amazonia substrate and did post a message in the Beginners' Corner with regards to the cloudiness in my tank. I was advised that I should give a few more days for the cloud to disperse.

I am using an Ehiem 2232 Ecco filter and 2x 15W FL lights. I have not gone into looking at specialize FL lights for aquariums but it will be great if some of the more experienced users here can help me through in choosing the right one.

    Hi n707jt,

Congrats on ur tank set up. I noticed that u have moss in the foregrd, is it tied to something? I feel that the big leave plant on the left shld be placed in the back grd to give the tank a wider feel. In addition, u may wanna hide the CO2 diffuser at the back as well. Since you are investing on new lights... I suggest maybe PL lights? I'm currently using 1 PL 55W light for my 2 feet planted tank.

The moss is not attached to anything. In fact, I am trying to look up for information on how to tie moss to things like wire mesh and DWs.

IMO, a good first attempt, the FL lights are bit low though but good even for moss and such. Look through other tanks on scaping tips.
    ...I love rubies too ...

    Hi there,

If you're looking for info on how to tie moss; you may wanna check out this link --> http://www.aquamoss.net/Articles.htm

Its rather easy, you just need to spread out ur moss one by one nicely on the wire mesh/ drift wood etc. (preferably in one direction) and use either fishing line or normal sewing thread to coil around them tightly.

I have seen an article on the internet about experts at Bioplast demonstrating tying of moss (very comprehensive), but i cant seem to find the link..will post it to you if i can find

Meanwhile have fun with ur planted tank.
