well I got it for S$69 at a tampines LFS but I saw Chan Nature Aquarium selling & half of that price!!!

anyway for my 3 ft fish populated planted tank, the water ran out of oxygen when I set it to number 4!!! its good for 1 only in my case!!! i decided not to use it as my plants are doing fine by themselves...but I got brown algae infestation!

what do you mean by "ran out of oxygen"? are your fishes gasping for air near the water surface? if so, there is too much co2. excess co2 does not drive oxygen out of the water.

but that's what I saw...i know what you mean about more carbon dioxide doesn't mean less oxygen...

I think somehow the device breaks down the H2O...there's a carbon plating inside the black inlet & when it touches the water, it produces bubbles...those bubbles as said in the manual are hydrogen bubbles...the carbon plating has to be changed after a while (don't know when lah, a light will blink for the change)

so i guess it breaks water & carbon from the plating mixes with the loose oxygen while the loose hydrogen bubbles out...

seriously, my all my fishes went up to the surface to breathe...all look weak untill I did a half WC & they look/swim as normal again...interesting eh

I am using that for my 3 ft tank. mine is 600 model, the one in the picture is 1200.

600 model at full power is just nice for a very heavy planted 3ft tank. I can imagine how much CO2 the 1200 model can dissolve in a tank.
