hi guys, i am about to start a 2ft tank with foreground plant only and rock as scaping object..
but im stuck within HC and glosso
this will be my idea tank specs

    tank :2x1x1ft tank(15gallon)
    lighting: 2x36Watt(~4.8wpg)
    OR 1x55watt(3.6wpg)
subtract: ada soil amazonia OR magic soil
fert: seachem florish and seachem excel.

i acctually have decided to try on HC, but getting submersed HC is not easy. and heard that if you cant grow glosso well(creeping and carpeting) you can forget about growing HC. is that true?

is 2x36 watt or 1x55watt better for HC or glosso?
im afraid that glosso will grow upwards instead of creeping.

if anyone of you bros and sis here are having HC only tank or Glosso only tank.. do voice out ur opinion.
    thanks

1x55 watt is enough for glosso but may not be enough for HC. You might want to use 2x36 watt for HC

maybe i should add another Forground plant..
    Jap HG..

anyway.. IMO, HC is the best forground plant.. but need cold water and higher lighting to grow and carpet well.

    use 2 x36w
    1x55w will not be enough

1x55w will cover less surface area of the tank than 2x36w
if you want the hc to creep nicely all over the whole tank, then make sure the coverage is good
places which have less light or lower coverage ==> you won't find good growth and nice creeping
i tried 1x36 & 1x55 all before ==> certain areas not directly beneath the light, the hc starts to grow vertically
so better light coverage will be needed

and use presuurised co2 + good fert regime, the diy nutrafin is not going to give a good constant level of co2 that will be needed
go get some lushgro powders, they'll last you for a long time
