it's a parasite of some sort
i never really figured out how to get rid of it
i tried posting this on overseas forums, no one noes what the fish it is
anyway, a lot of salt will stop it cold ie it stops spreading and after about a few weeks it'll just go away
by a lot of salt i mean like 3 tablespoon per litre
i don't recommend this for you
if you can, catch the guy out and place him in a salt bath
this disease is contagious, but not life threatening
    but really an eyesore

Help i'm suffering from a bacterial infection and my owner Mariner doesn't know how to cure me. my mates are avoiding me at all cost becos their scared it would spread. i learned from one of my ex mates that had the same problem. he was put into a salt bath and with bacterial infection medicine. he recovered from it but a few days later it came again and killed him. I hope my owner would know what to do now.
