it probably isn't enough. i'm using a 2028 for my 4x2x2 and i'm starting to feel it may not be enough

Would it help if I attach a powerhead at the output of the filter to give it more boost?
I'm not too sure of their cost but I think a powerhead is cheaper than a filter.... but am not too sure if that setup would work a not.
If not wrong, attached powerhead to output is not advicable. For mine 4x2x2 tank, I have 2 x 2028. It really depend on what kind of flow you are looking for.![]()
Oh! Thought of saving money and space.
I'm hoping to have sufficient flow rate to prevent BBA, spread CO2 more efficiently.
I'm curious about the 2 filters set up. Do you set them up as stand-alone units? Or the filters are connected like inlet -> filter -> filter -> outlet?
I have it setup as stand alone. If really 1 break down, I still have the other filter working. Also it is easy to wash up, will not disturb the water flow ..![]()
Think I've to shop for a second hand one...![]()
Btw, both yr filters provide CO2?
