After all the long delay and waiting, I have finally started my second attempt to keep CRS. Have just introduced some CRS about 2 weeks ago followed by 2 yamato and pencil fish. Last weekend, just introduced another 5. Suppose to have 6 but 1 up the lorry during acclimatization.
Here is the little specs of my tank:
Tank size : 24 x 12 x 14 inch
Base : ADA Amazonian (brown)
Filtration : Jebo 825 Canister filter.
Light : 55 watts PL
Using fan to cool the tank (Now considering chiller).
.
PH : 6.5
KH : 2 dKH
Ammonia : zero
GH : Not too sure as when testing it, cannot see the change in colour. As advise by a CRS pro that the changes of the colour is very subtle. Anyway, as long as the shrimp survived, will not be bother about this.
Comments are welcome as I know there are a lot of experienced brothers and sisters out there.

Joe,
In long term a chiller is better for your crs.
PS : your stock level enough for me to get some from you![]()

Bro...
As far as you mantain the PH & Temp below 26.5oC
After change water, add in aged water very slowly... Dripping will be best...
If you failed by keeping crs by above, come find me and i give FOC crs...

Hi, thanks for the tips but dripping it slowly will be a problem as my CRS tank is on a higher than a normal stand. Unless I use a water pump which worth trying..

I am using a resun 280... so far so good no complains
Plee , how often does your chiller kick in ? And what temperature did you set ?
my chiller kicks in every 20 mins or so...
for my 2 ft I use a resun 280
and I use an Artica for my 3 ft
Nice setup, what's the water temperature without the chiller?![]()
hi guys, i would like to ask if a fan is sufficient for a 1ft tank for CRS?
Ya, for a 1ft . it will be enough . But you will have to see the humidity at your place too . It really depends. Get a thermometer to check the degrees that your fan can cool before buying the CRS .
