    water parameter
    ammonia, nitrite 0
    pH 6.4-7.1
    temperature 26.5-27.5

    tank mates
    app 20 cherry shrimps
    1 CRS, 2 otto
    app 25 neon tetras

i got the shrimps from a bro here(with 1 pregnant cherry) and app 10 shrimplets manage to survive til adulthood
until then no breeding occur, or maybe zero shrimplets survive
i never feed them, algae is their only source of food
is neon tetra the reason why they never breed?

others cherry breed like rabbits while mine
    thanks

Have you seen the females berried or carrying eggs? If so, probably the tetras are eating them as they hatch. Get alot of moss and ferns for the shrimplets to hide in.

Probably the female shrimps are not attractive enough...

Back to the topic, most likely the cherries are stressed up due to so many tetras swimming around. Suggest to keep shrimps separately from fishes (oto is ok) if you want them to breed...

did you saw them carry egg before, if yes then one of your fish probably eat the shrimplet.

    dnsfpl,

If you want to confirm if it is your water parameters or the fish eating the shrimplets, buy one of those breeding nets made up of a frame of plastic rods and encased in a cloth "cage". Hang it in the same tank, throw in a mass of moss and a bunch of shrimps (mix of males and females). If the problem is not the water parameters, the shrimps will start breeding like rabbits.

I have the same setup and have shrimplets of varying sizes. Cost a couple of dollars, I think. Definitely below $10.

Hi, looks like pregnant to me as I can see some yellowish thingy below... Could be the eggs drop out along the way, hence not a lot of eggs...
