    iwishweallcouldwin,
It's at blk 69, there are two LFS there, the smaller one is selling them. But current stock is all sold out. There are some CRS, Black Diamond, Axelrodi Blue, Oto, white cloud.....just to name a few.

Here is a photo of the home of my caca.

If you look carefully you can see the caca hiding behind amoung the plants and another tank which I am setting up (half done) for another pair of apisto.

Your setup looks like you are going to breed them. You can tie some moss onto the claypots to give it a more natural feel to it, besides I think your fries would like it if your apistos start to spawn. BTW why does your first tank have 2 filters? HOF are good enough and probably ideal for a small tank like yours.

    iwisweallcouldwin,
the big round cave is from LFS at Blk 69, the flat one is given to me by a friend.

    Jungle-Mania,
Thanks for the tip, will try tying some moss to the cave later. Yes I am trying to breed the apisto. I have been breeding discus for a while now, thought I try breeding the apisto for a change. And yes there are 2 filters in the tank now, sponge/box filter and HOF. this is because the tanks are new and I want to cycle them fast, most most likely stick to one later on.

    hey trident,

thanks alot for your info, yup i agree with jungle, moss would be very useful for fries in the future, as they can feed on the micro-organisms living around them, and moss would also provide very good hiding spots for fries who may feel threatened. i placed java moss around the entrance of my breeding cave, but as soon as my fries turned into juveniles, my moss became a fern jungle, so do take note haha.

Hi wks, actually I am interested in the apisto there, other than the normal place CF, C328 ,eco culture and biotope for apisto.

if you look around, quite a number of LFS actually do carry the more common species of apistos around. For example, i found 3 pairs of cacas in a very small LFS tucked away in Bishan St 22. However, these LFS usually only carry the more common species of apisto, particularly cacas and perhaps agassiziis or trifasciatas. if you're looking for the less common species, and want to be assured of quality and health, it's usually safer to rely on the specialist shops that you've mentioned, though you may end up paying a slight premium in price

    kwlee,
Yes the shop is quite near (about 2 blks away) to Mac. Near the market.
They don't normally carry apisto, just occasionally when the farm got nice stock. There are 2 shops there, AG Pets and Aqurium and Eleon Aquarium. It's Eleon that carry the Apisto. Sorry I don't have the unit number.

anyone here happen to know where i can get the flat cave for a reasonable price other than DIYing? think i've been to the lfs at blk 69 before, but i do agree that if you want to get apistos of assured quality and health, it is better to get from shops which are more specialised. nevertheless, there's definitely no harm knowing more lfs to give yourself more options and convenience when it comes to picking up random accessories on the go. besides, you'll never know when occassional surprises will appear! just ask trident the man who got the caca!

    iwishweallcouldwin,
I do agree with you that specialised shop do carry better quality apisto, but it's pretty convenient to have a shop near your house and sometimes you would be surprised by what they carry. I got my Galaxy, White Cloud and Oto there.
