Nannacara now know as Ivanacara. genes, hope you gave them a big tank because they are very territorial when spawning. Where you gotten from? Have you seen the orange variant Ecoculture brought in?

Got the pair from biotope. I have not seen the orange variant. The orange variant is a recent aquisition of Ecoculture?

I believe the genus Nanacara is still valid for certain species, such as anomala. I wonder who has the paper for the new classification?

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Dr Uwe Romer split the Nannacara genus and created a new genus named Ivanacara in his Atlas2.

However, he only renamed Nannacara adoketa And Nannacara bimaculata to Ivanacara adoketa And Ivanacara bimaculata. So Benny, you may be right that Ivanacara may not be valid for anomala.
