Good photography skills Eugene....even a normal apisto can turn into a "premium-looking" one under your lenses!! Good work!

Thanks eman, however, I wouldn't catagorise Ap. iniridae as a "normal" apisto. That will paint a wrong picture to budding hobbist. They are more demanding interms of aquarium maintanence and breeding. Also they are not seen often in LFS these days.

    Eugene,

Very nice picture indeed! However, the ventral fins seems to be a bit crooked.

Hope you got a pair instead of a solo male. But even if so, it's something special to be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Hi Benny

Its a solo male. Got it couple of weeks ago from C328. Female died and he was removed him from the betta tanks and relocated to a 5cm partition at the back, because no one would buy him. I saw him being housed there for a week or so in that cramp partition so bought him in the end.

Then it's a good chance that it was 2 males. No loss. The dorminant male will win.

    Hey Gene,
Nice fish and picture you have there. Mind sharing your technique. Is your back ground black by default? By the way i might have a F2 female let me know if you are interested.

Thanks ccs for the offer, but i have no intention to breed this species. Picture is not good actually. Not really focused. No special techniques. Just fast shutter speed to allow only the lights from the flash to be captured rather than the background, so causing a blurred and dark background.
