Did you touch them? or place them in new water?
Also sometimes you can't really see injuries...
hey guys, I seem to be having a problem with my newly metamorphosed frogs, they just don't survive more than 2 days. Here's some of the info:
After they've lost their tails and started climbing against the side of the glass, i place them in an existing terrarium with my 2 medium sized frogs that have been living there for about a year.
And then they die. No injuries, No sunken bellies just motionless little frogs on the leaves and soil the next morning.
I've tried placing the froglets in my crypt tank and clean tupperwares, no difference, they just die after 2 - 3 days.
I'm rather distressed that the little guys seem to be dying for no reason. Would appreciate some input...

i touched some... but i always just dropped them back in their tadpole tank to wash them. And.. the terrarium has no water in it, i pour some in daily from the tadpole tank.
And i'm pretty sure it wasn't injuries.. seeing as how i've lost 12 of them already.
isnt you put too much water..frog doesn't need lot of water as long as their skin are wet.. then ok already....
They're on land with very little water.. meaning i just make sure the ground is wet.
You could try to set up a floatation platform for the new froglets within the tank, that way you have no temperature fluctuations and you can monitor their feeding. Sometimes floating wood or plants would do as well. Best of luck!
Did you dechlorinate the water or your hands touched any chemical before handling the young frogs? I heard frogs are super sensitive to chemicals, that is why they are often used as a pollution indicator.
Err... if your frogs are young.. they need water.
Hmm... the water is very much aged and dechlorinated. In the tupperware i gave them enough water to float around in and they still died. Though i've never had a pool of water in the terrarium. My young frogs have already lost their tales so i assumed all they needed was to be kept in a high humidity environment..
I'll leave about 1cm of water there to see if things improve. Thanks for all the help guys, i'll keep you posted.
