I recently requested the dude at my LFS to bring in a pot of HC for me. He gave me a phonecall once it was in and i went down to collect it. This was the first time i had ever gazed upon HC in my own hands up close. Did not expect it to be so small. Sure i've seen it before in C328 but i had never picked it up. All the pictures online made it look like it had bigger leaves. Still i was astonished.

Gathering what knowledge i could from AQ on planting this plant, i set about doing so. it was suggested to me that i should just plant the whole lot with the soil wrapped in a mass of roots. i did so and planted the remaining bits that overgrow the pot around it.

Now since i'm super new to this plant. i've decided to record its progress and moniter the success/failure of this attempt

it's in the foreground of a small 18 inch by 11 inch tank.
with a whole lot of hairgrass and DIY CO2
Light is 3 inches from the surface and
the Temperature is between 27 to 29 celcius

here are the pictures of Day 2 and Day 3

HC is a very slow growing plant submersed. It would take a signficant amount of patience to keep up with the daily updates

Mine was uprooted by yamatoes. An expensive lesson.

more light would be my guess since no idea of your tank specs
i never managed to get hc to creep properly with anything less than 3W/gallon on my old 1.5 footer hc setup
