    Welcome to AQ harith

For base fertiliser lay down about 1cm thickness, followed by the sand which can be as thick as you want but for aesthetic reasons usually an inch at the front sloping up high to 4 or 5 inches at the back or so.

How to operate the CO2 system... you should have asked the shop where you bought the system to demonstrate for you. Words cannot describe it properly.

Look for some nice planted tank setups that you can find on internet for inspiration... got to really plan properly for plant selection as setting up a big tank isn't easy. The choice of plants determine the fate of your project.

You can also consider having scapes with stones, driftwoods, bog woods, etc. It will stand out among the plants and more importantly creates a natural looking evironment.

You need some arts sense too

Good luck in your planted tank project
