My cousin at Malaysia is looking for this "Non return valve" because Malaysia didn't sell the stuff that he wants, so he ask me to search for it in Singapore but I have no idea how it looks like..

Anyone from here knows how it look like or any picture?

Check valve, no-return valve, one-way valve, all the same thing.

It is to prevent water to coming back and enter your CO2 tank or Airpump. Basicalaly the valve is only in one direction.

Your veins and arteries also have valves to make the blood flow in the correct direction.

I noticed you're in Toa Payoh. Just make a trip down to Nature Aquarium across from the Thomson Medical Centre and ask the owner(Mr. Chan) for a check valve. He'll know what it is. He may present you with a metal one and a plastic one. They'll both do the job, but the metal one will last longer, cost more and it looks nicer(in my opinion) than the plastic one.

I'm using metal check valves. Looks good and more reliable. Plastic ones look like they will fall apart some day.

Hi Aeon, does the metal check valve that you used give you 100% one way direction? I'm using couple of those yellow plastic one, the one on Altum Lover76 photo, and I can still see the water flow back slowly.

I know NA has them. Seen it there before but you better call and check if there is stock before going down.

Aquastar Yishun has it also. I got mine there. But similarly call and check beforehand as the quantity of stock is low and not necessarily in stock always

Just to chip in with my experience with the metal check valves.
I had 3 of them. 2 worked perfectly with no backflow but the 3rd one i guess its faulty as water actually flowed back.

I only have 1 for my CO2, no back flow. Bought at Yishun Aquastar. $7 I think.

Great, I have 2 of those yellow color check valve and the water still flow back.

I endup have to set the timer for my solenoids to on for few minutes every 6 hour at night. This way it will push the water back before it reach the tank.

I had the same problem with the yellow or the black one shown in the pictures. Yellow is slightly better, don't buy the black one. I had two , both failed me. To overcome this, I used two of the yellow check valve.

you will have to connect 2 plastic ones in series for extra assurance, in case any one of them is not 100% effective. This will reduce your worries of water back flowing into your CO2 cannister.

wow just realised i must be damn kiasu
thats why no backflow at all.. or at least no significant one that i can see

    my setup is like this:

solenoid --> metal check valve --> long length of tubing up to tank --> metal check valve --> bubble counter (ADA lookalike knockoff) --> metal check valve --> diffusor

thats 20 bucks worth of check valves just for 1 setup
darn i must be crazy man!!! i don't want to think about how much i been spending
