    not that i notice. in my 2213, i'm using wool, foam, lava rock and soil and the flow is okay.

    Good idea to use as filter media (provide nutrient) for planted tank and economical as substrate on big planted tank.

    Not too sure whether we are using the same type. I have tried using the soil that is for planting which has peat in it. What I have done is soak some of it in a container and days later, measure the PH and ammonia. The PH is near to 6 but the ammonia is very high. With this, dun dare to try with my fishes.

    You may want to measure the ammonia level.

    my ammonia level is within the safe level according to the ammonia meter by seachem. now.after one month, my live stocks inside the tank is all doing okay. no casualty.

    is it the same as those sold at cold storage? also $2 per bag...
    used those once and was quite a mess when i did rescaping.

    maybe i'll go check out the 7-11 opp my office
