Cheers,

Thanks lyh, juggler, bossteck and bba
For the records, the eggs were laid on Monday 30 July. All the fries were free-swimming by 6 Aug. So they took 7 full days.
There were everywhere...
(Photos were taken on 14 Aug - ie fries were 8 days old)
on the wall...
on the driftwood
on the leaves
The water level was lowered to probably 20 cm, in a 2 feet regular tank. Various (and too much) food was added to the tank. Cai xin, Kailan, normal baby fish feed, micropellets etc were added.
The MFF adults were left in the tank. All other tank mates were removed.
Water condition deteriorated due to my IHS (itchy hand symdrome). As the fries weren't feeding well, I decided to put them into a smaller tank. For more than an hour, I was in front of the tank with a plastic spoon scooping up the fries one by one.
In a cup
In a plastic container
Oh yes, thanks to a fellow forumer for his advice on breeding them too..
Cheers...
... to be continued

Man ! this fella spawn like rabbit ! soon you'll have to make rooms for them !. Remember to cover or wrap your fileration system inlet with netting if not some of the fries will be sucked into the cannister. Cheers !![]()
