Ahhh...the arrowanas are breeding in our waters....
Believe or not..I photographed this little fish somewhere in Singapore...not in fish farm..not in ponds around farm, in fact no farms nearby at all...
Saw 3 fish (at this size) at the end of the day, and also a big green arowana was spotted...
It was an unexpected achievement.

Actually there are wild arrowanas in Singapore waters for a long time. I have seen a wild green version which my friend caught on a lure. Not unusual, but still a sight.
I think the green arowana in Singapore are feral population.
By the way when I brought one pc to a fish shop for packing, the fella said it's a red tail gold.
They are about 10 cm..
it won't be long before some greedy s'poreans discover this and start fishing for free aros.
Green aros should be safe. But gold or red aros is on a whole different level altogether. Price wise of course.
That's probably why MrTree is so tight-lipped about the location![]()

Actually quite difficult to fish there also.![]()
I have seen silver arowanas in Singapore waters for 10 over years, specifically Macritchie reservoir.
