    hi my crs have given birth a few weeks ago and more are getting pregnant again.
    i not sure how should i go ahead with the water change as there too many crs babies and i scare they will get suck up the when i doing water change? it been 2 month since i last did any water change.
    need help

    you can try changing lesser water (etc 10%) for 4days to prevent changes in water parameter...

    You may try using a net to cover the hose end and suck the water out. den then slowly refill the water back. i also using. but me without a net to block just as per normal. no worry bro.

    Hi, sorry that I borrow this thread. I am also trying to find out the most effective way to change water without sucking out all the babies. I am sucking out from the top right now, about 20% each time.

    For my smaller tank (2 to 2.5ft), I scope out the water using a mug to a pail and put it back also using a mug from another pre-prepared pail (with all the works put into it.

    So far it works fine and there is minimal disturbance to the water paramters and the fishes and shrimps.
