    Hi,

I have been asking around in AQ when setting up this tank. In return, I would like to thanks everyone for helping me to make this set up an enjoyable one . I'm not a good aquascaper. As long as the plant is healthy & away from algae, I'm a happy man .

    Feel free to comment

Thanks, Lim. Going to put in 1-2 Otocinclus. This tank is set up for my wife. She loves guppies. So it will be filled up with guppies.

BTW, how many fishes can I have in this tank? It's taller than 1 cube tank by few inches (FOC tank from Aquarama 2007).
    Cheers,
    U.K.Lau

I have put 8 guppies and 2 oto in my 1.5ft low tech tank just set up few days ago. So far the fishes are happy and healthy. Actually I intend to keep CRS, but my daughters want guppies, so it become a guppies tank.

I keep 12 fishes in mine without filter but with water changes once a week. No problems so far.
By the way where did you get the eden 510? Want to get one too.

Oh ya i think Y618 had a trio of those high quality guppies some time back. Look like those seen at Aquarama.

I like your simple setup. Especially the bogwood with fern and nana.

Btw, did you cut the bogwood to fit your tank? I could see the cut branches.

I purchased my Eden501 from C328 3 weeks ago. Heard that for the new shipment, the price is going to increase. Not sure how true is this.

Sharp eyes, bro. I did chop those small branches but very little. Less than an inch here & there.

    Hi,

Now that the plants are doing well, I would like to add some color to the layout. What are the plants that I can add to this low tech tank to make it more colourful? Thanks.
    Cheers,

    Bro Uklau,
nice scape you got here . NO Foreground plant? I think E tennulus will look very nice here. Wild Jungle look.
I think 1-2 pairs of quality guppy will be just nice. They will breed very fast if condition is right.

Stuborn uncle Ben is still searching for Marsilea Hirsuta . Anyone has any & willing to share?

Yup, I have 2 pairs of guppies in there, Boraras Briggitae, variety of shrimps & Corydoras habrosus (not too sure. Got it from NA last weekend).

I don't dare to put E.Tennelus in this tank as it is very "invasive". Had enough in my 2 footer . Thanks for your thought .
    Cheers,

Marsilea Hirsuta. Nice plant. Did check on it. The clover leaves are really nice. Thanks for the idea, will include it for my next scape . Seems like a very rare plant. Cant seems to find much threads on it.
