    HI bro,

Recently just started a 3ft planted. Apparently, most of the plants i put in start to melt. Initially i tot its normal, but even all stem plants, the stem start to melt within 2 days of introduction.

    My tank info:
    1) 3 ft tank IOS
    2) ADA soil
    3) PH of tap water...abit high in punggol...about 8.6. But with the cmobination of ADA soil which is low, the PH is about 7.4 when plants are introduced.
    4) KH 1 (ADA characteristic)
    5) 1200l/h pump
    6) CO2 is available. But due to fluatuating PH levels, i need to set it to about 3-4 bubbles per second, which is not optimium for 30ppm.

And the water in my tank is also milky mainly is becos of my ADA soil. But my tank is about 250l minus the chamber of IOS, and my pump is only 1200l/h, maybe cycling it is slow. BUt I m more concern about the melting of my stemed plants.

Any bro has any advise on what is happening to my tank?

    Thanks.

If I remember correctly, trace helps in building strong stem in plants.

Try changing the water till you get clear water.

Isn't the IOS acting against your CO2 injection?

Perhaps go for another source of plants. Rid out all the melted mush from your tank, clean the tank up good when you water change to remove the milkiness. Don't inject CO2 for the time being.
