think the 2ft is abit ex, heard u can get it for ard $20 (this have to reconfirm with the rest)

nothing abt the internal filter, personal preferences. As for the lights, u only getting the tubes? AEC PL 36watts is $9 at nature, that means u oredi have to housing?

another thing, better for u to jus get everything from one place, no point going diff lfs to get diff things

for plants, if u have the transport, i recommend u go to Teo.. y dun u join us for our planting outing on the 5th?

I assume you are refering to Dennerle V30. E15(tablets) and V30 has to go hand in hand. Otherwise, by using V30 alone, you may have Fe or K deficiency.

Hi all! I managed to get all my stuff and tank running today!

Here's the list of what where and how much I got everything for.

    C328:
    2ft tank - $17

    Nature Aquarium:
    2ft PL Light 36W - $37
Sera Florena Liquid Fertilizer - $10
    Eheim 2006 - $30

    Generation X:
    Gravel 8 kg - $16
Diffuser + Check Valve + Bubble Counter - About $30+

Now my tank is set up and running with plants in it only. CO2 will put in tomorrow when I do the yeast mixture.

Plants are Riccia and Java Moss. Hmmm....do u guys think I should get one more of my 2ft PL lights? Cos now only 36W?

Also, my water temp is at 28degrees celcius...how? Should I get a cooling fan?

p/s: Your comments are much appreciated!

no simon, i didn't add a layer of base fert cos my tank only consists of java moss tied to stone and riccia so i don't see the need to put base fert.

I put 2 cups of sugar and mix with warm water then top up to 3/4 full then add 1/2 tsp of instant dried yeast powder and 1/2 tsp of baking soda and shook...Now waiting...

No hot water with yeast..if not you can throw away the bottle of solution liao...mix sugar with warm water to dissolve...then add tap water to cool down solution as well as fill up bottle..then add yeast...shake or don't shake up to you..some say don't shake as it will make the initial CO2 output alot..

i usually wait about half hour to an hour plus...should be bubbling soon..if it doesn't bubble by tommorrow then u can make a new mixture if u want...thats the beauty of diy co2...dun cost much and allows for some margin of error...

Wait for 24hrs becos if u have a check valve, the pressure must be allowed to build up before CO2 gas can pass thru.

Do check for any leaks in your tubing connections or bottle.
