just a question. I am quite confused about "mini nana". Is mini nana = anubias nana "petite"??
I recently got a pot from rainbow thinking that they are mini nana(the whole pot of it all got small leaves). I did confirmed with the salesman and he said it's mini nana. However, shortly after i introduced it into my tank, they start to grow and don't seems to be like that "mini" after all.....Looks more and more like the normal anubias nana in my tank....
Can anyone show me the dif?? how to tell? colour? shape? any special distinct feature? I really wanted the real "mini nana" in my tank...

mini nana = anubias nana "petite" YES the same.
Confirm NA has quite a lot of stock. I was there yesterday afternoon![]()

petite nana leaves is typically less than half the size of nana.

When i bought the basket, the leaves are all very small. The growth speed like accelerate a lot after i introduced it into my tank.... Is a young "normal nana" similiar to the usual mini nana?

mini nanas leaves will not grow beyond that of a 5 cent coin. i have got 33 pots reserved by one of the brothers in this forum. At a very good price too. collecting next tuesday.![]()

5 cent coin!! is it leave round or a bit oval?
I think i have gotten the wrong plant.....![]()

Sorry bro valice, I took your quote from other thread.
For people wanting to buy nana "petite", pls be careful when choosing![]()
I think the reason why my one is small and look like nana "petite" cause I dig the basket out from the bottom where light is minimum.....Lesson learnt

To summarize,a "petite" nana looks like a dwarf version of their bigger sized nana cousin with a leave size no bigger then a 5cent coin?
Is there any other more distinct feature to spot like say the stem, rooting etc... when trying to diffrentiate the two apart?
It's sort of fustrating when one can only make purchase based solely on the seller's word![]()

Hi all There no such thing as mini nanas.
The smallest anubias is Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite'
This is a cultivar from oriental.
Please avoid mis-use of plant name to confuse. Thanks.
